Kampala, 10/17/2025. The Safal Group, Africa’s leading producer of steel roofing and building solutions, successfully concluded its annual leadership and strategy conference, “Winning As One 2.0,” hosted by Uganda Baati Limited at the Serena Golf Course Resort & Spa, Kigo.
The event brought together over 100 senior leaders from nine Safal markets including Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, Namibia, Mauritius, Ethiopia, and Rwanda for a week of strategic reflection, alignment, and innovation.
The conference served as a defining moment for the Safal Group, offering a platform for leaders across business functions and geographies to engage in deep dialogue about the Group’s vision, purpose, and future direction. This year’s theme, Winning As One 2.0, emphasized two core ideas; leading with purpose and unity, and strengthening collaboration across markets to deliver superior value to customers and communities across Africa.
Speaking during the closing ceremony, Mr. Anders Lindgren, Chief Executive Officer of the Safal Group, commended the delegates for their commitment to collective growth and resilience.
“Safal’s success has always been rooted in our ability to unite across borders, learn from each other, and move forward as one team,” Mr. Lindgren remarked. “This conference has reinforced that leadership is not about individual wins, but about the strength of collaboration and purpose. When we lead together, we win together and that is what will define our next chapter as a Group.”
As the host business unit, Uganda Baati played a pivotal role in providing an environment where ideas met experience. The company’s leadership emphasized Uganda’s strategic importance within the Group, particularly as a hub of innovation and excellence in the region’s steel and building solutions industry.
Mr. George Arodi, Chief Executive Officer of Uganda Baati Limited, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in Uganda Baati to host this landmark event.
“It has been an honour for Uganda Baati to welcome our colleagues from across Africa,” said Mr. Arodi. “This week has shown us that when we collaborate, share ideas, and embrace our diversity, we become unstoppable. The learnings from these sessions will ripple through every market, inspiring us to serve our customers, partners, and communities with renewed purpose and unity.”
Throughout the week, delegates participated in interactive leadership dialogues, market reviews, and experiential sessions that explored emerging trends in sustainability, digital transformation, and customer engagement.
Uganda Baati extends its appreciation to all participants, partners, and organizing teams whose dedication made the event a success. With renewed energy and a shared vision, the Safal Group continues to strengthen its position as a pan-African leader committed to building solutions that last.
